Classic balloon ride
For couples, friends and solo travellers
€165per person
- Shared basket
- 45 to 60 minutes in the air
- Breakfast after landing
Fly a hot air balloon at sunrise above the Marrakech countryside.
A balloon morning with us takes four to five hours, hotel to hotel. You fly for 45 to 60 minutes over farmland and Berber villages outside the city, and on a clear day you can see snow on the High Atlas. A platform sells you a seat. We fly you. When you book with us, you talk to the people who pick you up, pilot your balloon and serve your breakfast, so a fear of heights, a child's age or a secret proposal reaches your pilot, not a call centre. And if the weather isn't safe, your new date or full refund comes straight from us.
Included: hotel transfers, tea and biscuits on arrival, your pilot's briefing, the flight, a private breakfast table and your certificate.
Every flight includes the pickup, tea at our base, the pilot's briefing, breakfast and your certificate. What changes is who you share the basket with.

The pilot decides on the field. If the wind is wrong, we stay on the ground, even on mornings when other balloons go up.
Before you arrive, we already know your name, why you're coming and whether you're a bit nervous. Tell us, and we'll take care of it.
You get 45 to 60 minutes in the air. Long enough to take your photos, then put the phone away and just look.
We didn't build our balloon company just to fly today. We built it so the skies of Marrakech can continue welcoming dreamers for generations to come.
When we cancel a flight because of the weather, we are not disappointing our guests. We are honouring the trust they placed in us.
You fly with our own pilots and crew, not with whoever a reseller found that morning. The pilot who briefs you at our base is the one who flies your balloon.

From the knock on your riad door to the drive back after breakfast.
It's still dark when our driver collects you from your hotel or riad. Our base is about 20 km outside the city.
Hot tea, coffee and local biscuits while your pilot talks you through the morning: how to climb in, where to hold on, what the landing feels like. Ask anything you like. Nervous guests usually feel much better after this part.
The burners light up the field and the balloon slowly stands up. Take-off is so gentle that most people only notice it when they look down.
Villages, olive groves and, on a clear morning, the Atlas in the first light. Flying low, you'll hear dogs barking and see people waving from the rooftops.
Breakfast is served at your own table at our base. You get your flight certificate, and we drive you back to your hotel by late morning.
Local families make it, and we serve it at your own table at our base, on Berber rugs and leather poufs, with the balloons around you. It's never a buffet.

Our guests write about the same things again and again: pilots who explain everything and make them feel safe, smooth take-offs and landings, the calm of the sunrise in the basket, and a breakfast they remember long after the flight. On Google, guests mention the breakfast in 65 reviews, the pilot in 16 reviews, the team in 12 reviews, and safety in 12 reviews. Here are a few of their words; read every review where they wrote it.

What an amazing experience! Easily one of the highlights of my trip to Morocco. Felt very safe with Youssef as our pilot… The views, sunrise and seeing numerous balloons flying was just magic.
It was my first time to go in hot air balloon… I was a little nervous before the ride, but after a welcoming cup of tea and coffee, Yussuf gave us a thorough safety briefing which immediately helped us relax and enjoy the experience.
Youssef is a great great professional, so kind, so available… He made us comfortable, and lead us to enjoy the balloons in the best way possible. After we had a great breakfast, one of the best of our entire trip.

When you book directly with Ballooning Experience, you talk to the team that actually flies you, and your money stays in Marrakech: with our crews and drivers, the local families who prepare your breakfast and the local cooperatives we buy from.
